$500.00
Sold Out

This stunning slab of Tasmanian Huon Pine has been burnt by respected Tasmanian Aboriginal Elder and musician, Uncle Dougie Mansell and tells his story of connections to the islands. The mutton bird represents his time mutton birding, the Furneaux islands are where he was raised and the tracks within the Furneaux island speak to where he lived and frequented. The boat represents his time on the water while on the islands. All of these memories while distant, are held close to Uncle Dougie Mansell. This Huon Pine panel measures approximately 66cm in length, 30cm high at the highest point and 6cm wide, weighing almost 4kg.
